A renowned real estate agent in Bayelsa state was said to have been killed by a contractor whom he has known for long and also took him(the killer) as a friend.
A video from a social media platform form X formally known as Twitter shows where a very popular Nigerian activist Martin Vincent Otse AKA VDBM narrated how a very popular real estate agent in Bayelsa who holds a prestige position of the Vice Chairperson in the Bayelsa real business was gruesomely killed by a contractor and his girlfriend.
According to his story Richard the real estate agent was contacted by George that he has a piece of land that he would like to sell, that since he's prominent in the real estate field it would be very easy to locate a buyer.
After some months, Richard reached out to George that he has found a buyer for the land that he should come and show them the land for inspection and negotiations. After everything, the land was sold for 9 million naira, when the buyers requested for the land papers after making a transfer to Mr George, George said that he didn't come with the papers that he didn't know that the proposed buyers will be making payments that day which the buyers weren't accepting his excuses, that's when Richard stepped in for George, Richard told the buyers that they should panic that they should hold him responsible that he would collect the land documents from George and give to them that George is his friend, after that, all of them left for their businesses.
After that day, the following day, Richard reached out to George that he should send the land documents to enable him give it to the owners which George gave him one excuse, this continued till when Richard wasn't buying the excuses anymore then Richard was contacted by George and his girlfriend to meet them in a hotel and take the land document. When Richard left to take the document from them, they were said to have met at the said land which was sold. So, in that land, they shot and killed Richard, took his phone, started making a chat with his wife for days, which at some point his wife felt uncomfortable about the whole chatting stuff and reached out to his colleague in the field and told him about his husband's situation, that they had not seen him for days, he has been texting her, that she is just on her way to the station, she doesn't know what to do. That's when they took the matter to the police station and investigation began. When the investigation was going on, it was discovered that George has travelled from Port Harcourt to Lagos where he would board a flight and leave the country. That's when they started tracing every transaction he made and then arrested him an his girlfriend.
